Nokia X6 was launched globally as Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia X5 was sold outside of China as Nokia 5.1 Plus. After this trend, this means that the global version of Nokia X7 should go by Nokia 7.1 Plus, is not it? wrong!
A few days ago, a device called Nokia 8.1 was seen on Geekbench. We were a little disappointed to know that the successor of Nokia 8 will come with a mid-range processor, not SnapDragon 845. It has come to know that Nokia 8.1 is the global version of Nokia X7.
According to Tweets by @Nokia anew, HMD Global's Chief Product Manager, Juhoe Sarvicus, decided to rename. The account claims that they were informed about the name change by unknown sources.
Further explanation about Phoneraña explains that HMD Global is converting the Nokia 8 series into upper mid-range series, while the Nokia 9 PureView company's flagship model is expected to launch in the beginning of next year.
Nokia X7 will launch out of China as Nokia 8.1
Nokia Nu said in another tweet that Nokia 7.1 Plus still exists but it will not be launched until next year. This will probably be powered by Snapdragon 670 processor. On the other hand, Nokia will be launching before the end of 8.1 year.
